Phoenix Power

Phoenix Power Company (PHPC) is an Oman-based electricity generation company listed on the Muscat Stock Exchange. The company owns and operates the Sur Independent Power Plant, Oman’s largest operational power station, with an installed capacity of 2,000MW. Located approximately 175km southeast of Muscat, the natural gas-fired combined-cycle facility has been operational since December 2014. Electricity is sold to Nama Power and Water Procurement Company under a long-term power purchase agreement, with a new 15-year agreement signed in April 2026 extending contracted operations to March 2044.
