OQ Base Industries

OQ Base Industries (OQBI) is an Oman-based chemicals producer listed on the Muscat Stock Exchange and majority-owned by OQ Group. The company operates three integrated production facilities in the Salalah Free Zone, producing methanol, ammonia and LPG products, including propane, butane and condensate. Its facilities have a combined annual production capacity of approximately 1.8Mt and process natural gas supplied under long-term agreements with the Omani government. The majority of production is exported through OQ Trading, primarily to Asian and Middle Eastern markets.
