Edison intends to submit a formal response to the consultation before it closes on 30 November 2026 and will publish that response.
In the coming weeks we will be posting a series of articles on our website, where we will set out our thinking on the proposals and what they mean for companies, investors and the future of corporate communication. As part of this work, we will be canvassing the views of investors, analysts, finance and IR professionals to find out what they value most in the current corporate reporting framework and where they would like to see change.
While the consultation is important and relevant, it is largely future-focused, so we are also asking about something that matters to you right now: how investors use AI tools to research companies and how companies are thinking about being found.
Edison’s research and financial communications remain free of paywalls and reach every tier of investor, from institutional asset managers to individual shareholders, in every financial centre. AI-referral traffic has driven a significant uptick in our readership, which is great news for the clients who trust us to tell their stories. Our content is regularly cited by the major AI models in investment and capital markets’ searches and has generated more than 8.5m investor engagements, views and reads over the last 12 months alone.
We do not have all the answers, and that is the point of getting in touch. Your views will help us understand where you are today, shape the conversation and make sure the support we offer meets your needs as they evolve.
We would be grateful if you could take five minutes to answer the following questions against the backdrop of the MCR consultation – and more widely with respect to your own experiences and the challenges you are facing right now. We will use this information to improve Edison’s services.
