On 21 September, Severfield announced the appointment of Terry Fitzmaurice as chief commercial officer, a newly created role that will further strengthen the group’s executive leadership team as it delivers its strategy across the UK, Europe and India. Fitzmaurice will lead Severfield’s commercial, procurement and estimating functions, with a focus on driving the disciplined delivery of Severfield’s recently announced strategy and bringing focus to the strategic objective of delivering capital-light growth through partnerships. The company expects Fitzmaurice’s appointment to further strengthen client relationships across the business and ensure an even deeper focus on governance and rigour. Fitzmaurice joins Severfield from Manchester Airports Group, where he was the group procurement and contracts director, and brings significant commercial and procurement experience gained across a number of senior roles, including at Mitie.
We believe this is a strong appointment for Severfield with Fitzmaurice’s background and experience complementing the existing senior management team, helping the CEO and CFO create the partnerships, frameworks and supply chain to support Severfield’s ambitions across the UK, EU and India and build a business to deliver the strategy launched in June 2026.
Our recent outlook note highlighted the potential from Severfield’s refreshed medium-term ambitions that accompanied the FY26 results. Key targets include revenue of £500

Our recent outlook note highlighted the potential from Severfield’s refreshed medium-term ambitions that accompanied the FY26 results. Key targets include revenue of £500–550m, underlying operating margins of 7–8% and underlying PBT of £40–50m, supported by multiple drivers, including efficiency improvements, moving up the value chain, an improved project mix, a capital-light approach and strong potential growth from Severfield’s Indian joint venture. We note evidence of execution in the FY26 results, supported by a positive start to FY27.
