As per the Q326 results update, Zelluna has now treated two patients in its Phase I ZIMA-101 trial of ZI-MA4-1, an engineered natural killer cell therapy targeting solid tumours. No dose limiting toxicities have been reported, with an independent safety committee authorising continued recruitment following its review of the first patient. Preliminary blood tests indicate that the infused cells are behaving as expected, alongside early changes in immune markers. The Q326 net loss narrowed to NOK29.0m, from NOK39.3m a year earlier, while an operating cash outflow of NOK25.5m left Zelluna with a gross cash position of NOK60.4m at 30 September, providing a cash runway into Q327.
With more than 30 patients prescreened, Zelluna expects to complete the initial three patient cohort in Q426, before progressing to a threefold higher dose in Q127/early-Q227, subject to further independent safety clearance. This next phase should provide a clearer assessment of biological activity and potential clinical efficacy. Manufacturing progress also continued, with an initial production run completed at a new contractor, and a NOK15.6m Norwegian government grant awarded in November to support further process development. Separately, a complete response reported by MD Anderson in a myeloma patient receiving an independently developed TCR guided natural killer cell therapy provides external support for the approach.
