Pan American Silver reported another strongly cash-generative quarter, with revenue increasing 18% y-o-y to US$1.01bn and attributable free cash flow rising 47% to US$377m, supporting US$300m of shareholder returns in Q3 and US$701m year-to-date. Silver production increased 11% y-o-y to 6.07Moz, while silver segment all-in sustaining cost (AISC) improved to US$11.2/oz from US$15.4/oz and remained better than the company’s quarterly outlook. The main operational weakness was gold, where production declined 9% to 168koz, prompting a reduction in FY26 guidance to 660–680koz and an increase in gold segment AISC guidance to US$2,000–2,150/oz, reflecting lower production, higher development rates and increased labour and consumables costs, partly driven by currency appreciation and energy markets. Silver production guidance remains unchanged at 25–27Moz but is now expected towards the low end following Q4 downtime at Huaron and a higher gold-to-silver production mix at Cerro Moro, while silver segment AISC is expected towards the low end of the US$15.75–18.25/oz range. With US$1.9bn of cash and short-term investments and US$3.4bn of available liquidity, Pan American retains a strong balance sheet and capacity to sustain shareholder returns, although weaker gold production, elevated gold segment costs and softer current gold and silver prices provide near-term headwinds.
