While QBiotics is currently unlisted, it is planning a capital raise, the proceeds of which will be used to augment the oncology programme for a commercial partnership, ahead of a potential IPO on the Australian Securities Exchange in 2027.

There are four key reasons why QBiotics may be considered a compelling investment opportunity:

1. A differentiated oncology asset addressing areas of unmet need.

QBiotics is targeting cancers where effective treatment options remain limited, including soft tissue sarcoma, head and neck cancer, and breast cancer. Current therapies are often invasive or associated with significant toxicity and, in some cases, only provide modest efficacy. Tigilanol tiglate offers a novel localised treatment approach, which may enable effective tumour control while reducing systemic side effects. The therapy is being positioned as a standalone treatment, with potential use in combination settings representing additional upside. This provides flexibility in how the asset may be developed and commercialised.

2. Encouraging early clinical data and strong validation signals.

Clinical studies to date have demonstrated promising initial efficacy signals across multiple tumour types, alongside a favourable safety profile. These early results support further development efforts and provide a robust foundation for broader clinical applications.

In addition, the underlying molecule has already been commercialised in veterinary oncology, providing real-world evidence of safety and manufacturing. This level of validation may help to de-risk the programme somewhat. We note that the lead asset also has orphan drug designation from the US FDA in soft tissue sarcoma.

3. Clear path to near-term value inflection through partnering.

The company is progressing its oncology programme through Phase II development, with various catalysts expected over the near- and medium-term. These include ongoing clinical studies and the initiation of additional trials supported by external collaborators.

Importantly, QBiotics is actively engaging with potential partners and is positioning the programme for a commercial agreement; any additional developments for the programme may improve potential deal terms. The planned use of proceeds from the next fund-raise is focused on achieving this objective, providing a clear link between capital deployment and potential value creation.

4. Platform underpinned pipeline provides longer-term upside.

Beyond its lead oncology programme, QBiotics is supported by a broader discovery platform capable of generating multiple therapeutic candidates derived from natural compounds. This includes programmes in wound healing and antibiotics, where management is exploring non-dilutive funding opportunities. While these additional programmes are earlier stage, they provide exposure to further opportunities without materially increasing near-term funding requirements. Over time, successful progression of these assets may offer additional upside beyond the current investment case focused on oncology.

In conclusion, QBiotics presents a compelling investment case with a focused oncology-led opportunity supported by early clinical validation, a clear path to partnering and additional pipeline optionality.
