Analyst Interview – Micron Technology

Micron Technology is a large, well-established and leading manufacturer of DRAM, NAND and NOR semiconductor memory products. It is based in Boise, Idaho, has manufacturing facilities in the US, Singapore, Japan, Taiwan and Israel and trades on the NASDAQ in the US.

Edison technology analyst Dan Scovel believes Micron Technology is extremely well positioned to benefit from DRAM supplier consolidation, as well as DRAM end-market fragmentation, after its acquisition of competitor Elpida in Japan from bankruptcy proceedings last year. He also believes the company is well positioned to leverage its capabilities as a major supplier of NAND and NOR flash memory to supply multiple-memory subsystem solutions.
