OSE Immunotherapeutics has announced that partner Veloxis has dosed the first patient in RENGEVITY-201, a Phase II trial of pegrizeprument (VEL-101) for the prevention of rejection in de novo kidney transplant recipients, marking the OSE-originated asset’s progression into mid-stage development. The randomised, multicentre study will enrol up to 120 patients and compare two doses of pegrizeprument with tacrolimus, alongside background immunosuppression, with primary objectives assessing safety, pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics. Pegrizeprument, a differentiated CD28-targeting immunomodulator licensed to Veloxis for all transplant indications, remains under Veloxis’ responsibility for worldwide development and commercialisation; while no new financial milestone was disclosed, the Phase II start represents encouraging further validation of OSE’s partnered pipeline.
