Elevra’s September-quarter results showed further operational improvement at North American Lithium, with ore mined rising 25% q-o-q to a record 466kt and mill throughput reaching a new quarterly high of 365kt, supporting the second-highest spodumene production on record at 54.9kt. Sales increased 71% q-o-q to 58.1kt and realised pricing rose 39% to US$1,276/t FOB, driving revenue of US$74m, while unit operating costs fell 14% to US$780/t and generated an operating cash margin of US$476/t. The stronger operating performance translated into US$34m of NAL operating cash inflow, with group cash increasing to US$319m and net cash to US$240m; importantly, this excludes the subsequent US$71m Ewoyaa disposal proceeds. With the NAL brownfield expansion now in execution, fully funded and targeting production of 373ktpa at life-of-mine C1 costs of US$630/t, the results reinforce the combination of near-term operating leverage and a visible step-up in scale.
