This is an urgent call for the shareholders of Baillie Gifford US Growth Trust (ticker: USA) to cast their votes ahead of the company’s AGM on 23 October 2026. USA provides exposure to exceptional US growth businesses across both public and private markets including SpaceX, Anthropic and Stripe. The trust has outperformed the S&P 500 Index over the long term and in the 12 months to 30 September 2026 delivered an NAV total return of 32.4% versus 17.3% for the index. Saba Capital, which holds around 30% of USA’s voting rights, has proposed three directors for election at the upcoming AGM, offering shareholders a cash exit at or near NAV. USA’s board strongly opposes their appointment, questioning the nominees’ independence and the implications for the trust’s longer-term strategy.
