Edison Group bolsters research offering with new divisional managing director

Andrew Keen joins as Head of Content for Energy, Industrials and Resources, bringing over three decades of experience in commodities.

Edison Group, the leading international investor relations advisory business, is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrew Keen as its new Head of Content for Energy, Industrials and Resources. This key hire reflects the company’s continued expansion as it further enhances its commodities division, with the industry going through unprecedented change in line with net zero targets.

Andrew joins Edison with a range of experience across consulting, sell-side and buy-side advisory positions. Commencing his career at Pasminco (one of the largest lead and zinc producers, formerly part of Rio Tinto), he progressed to Regional Manager for Southeast Asia before joining metals and mining consultancy, CRU where he formed the strategy for the base and precious metals divisions. On the sell-side, Andrew has worked at Sanford Bernstein and HSBC, where he was global head of metals & mining research. Most recently, he worked at BestInver, a leading Spanish asset manager, where he focused on research for metals and electric vehicle materials.

In his new position at Edison, Andrew will play a pivotal role in growing the firm’s franchise in energy, industrials and resources. Andrew’s appointment follows a sustained period of demand for Edison’s research insights, global distribution reach and market-leading digital investor relations, driving the company’s growth this year. In 2022, Edison surpassed the milestone of having its content viewed some 9m times and conducting 2,000 meetings for its 260+ corporate clients.

Andrew Keen, Head of Content for Energy, Industrials and Resources, Edison Group, said: “I am delighted to be joining Edison Group as it accelerates its expansion in commodities, where there is a huge demand for research on the sector as it continues to evolve with net zero targets amid a turbulent economic backdrop. Edison offers world-class research and I look forward to further enhancing our presence in this field.”

Neil Shah, Executive Director of Research, Edison Group, said: “As we expand the depth and breadth of our research across energy, industrials and resources, we are delighted to welcome Andrew to lead the team. His knowledge and experience will ensure we continue to provide the levels of support and high-quality research our clients expect and for which we are renowned.”
