London and Muscat, 28 October 2026 – Edison Group (Edison), the international investment research and investor relations firm, today announces a significant expansion of its research coverage of companies listed on the Muscat Stock Exchange (‘MSX’ or ‘the Exchange’), in collaboration with the Exchange.
Edison will publish independent equity research on 14 MSX-listed companies spanning energy, banking, chemicals, fertilisers, shipping, utilities, telecoms and industrials. The programme builds on Edison’s existing coverage of Omantel and will see Edison analysts initiate on 10 companies with full research coverage, including initiation reports, maintained forecasts contributed to consensus on Bloomberg, FactSet, LSEG and S&P Capital IQ, update notes, management video interviews and investor webinars. A further four companies will receive profile notes and regular updates.
All research will be distributed free of charge and without restriction through Edison’s global network of more than 60 institutional, retail and news platforms, reaching over 10,000 institutions. Participating companies and the Exchange will receive quarterly InvestorTrack readership analytics showing which investors, in which countries, are engaging with the Oman story.
Alongside company-level research, Edison will publish a monthly Oman and MSX newsletter for global investors covering the Omani economy, market activity and the IPO and divestment pipeline, together with Edison video content and ‘Edison explains’ features on the Oman investment case and a white paper benchmarking MSX against regional peers on liquidity, investor relations practice and index-inclusion readiness. Edison will also run a quarterly investor relations workshop programme for MSX-listed companies, aligned with Middle East Investor Relations Association (MEIRA) best practice.
The collaboration supports the Exchange’s objective of deepening liquidity in its leading stocks, broadening international ownership and strengthening the investor relations capabilities of Omani issuers and to work collaboratively with the region’s banks, advisors and investors to strengthen the capital markets ecosystem for Omani companies. Oman’s equity market was among the strongest performers in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) in 2025, and the Exchange has invested in market infrastructure including the OPTIQ trading platform, Euroclear connectivity, omnibus accounts and 100% foreign ownership for international investors.
Edison’s research is prepared independently. The Exchange does not approve or endorse the content of Edison’s research, and each publication will carry a clear statement to that effect.
Haitham Al Salmi, CEO of Muscat Stock Exchange, said:
‘Our collaboration with Edison marks an important step in enhancing the international visibility of MSX-listed companies through independent research. By providing global investors with greater access to market insights, we aim to attract a broader investor base, support market liquidity and strengthen investor relations practices, further enhancing the competitiveness of Oman’s capital market.’
Oliver Haslam, managing director, Edison Group, said:
‘Oman has one of the most compelling and least-told equity stories in the Gulf: attractively valued, well-regulated and backed by a deep pipeline of new listings. Our collaboration with the Muscat Stock Exchange gives international investors what has been missing – consistent, independent research and data on its leading companies, distributed without barriers to the widest possible audience.’
Neil Shah, managing director, content and strategy, Edison Group, said:
‘This is the first time Edison has worked with an exchange in the GCC to broaden coverage across its market, and we have built the programme around what the Exchange and its issuers need: research that reaches the right investors, evidence of who is reading it, and a practical programme to raise investor relations standards. We look forward to introducing these companies to our global readership.’
