Witan finished the year with record NAV, share price and dividend per share.
• Portfolio restructured after sharp falls in March. The managers selected two global growth specialists, reducing UK and European overweight exposure.
• Over the second half of 2020, the restructured portfolio outperformed the benchmark index.
• Progressive dividend policy maintained, with 2020 dividend increased by 1.9%.
• Gearing – borrowings restructured , reducing ongoing finance costs.
• Discount – longer-term objective remains for Witan’s shares to trade at a sustainable low discount or premium.
