Following the release of our latest sector report Meating demand: The lean, green money-making machine, author Max Hayes was invited to be on the panel for one of NutritionInvestor’s webinars, which explored investor appetite for alternative protein. The panel included three other experts from a variety of different subsectors within the alternative protein space, allowing for a comprehensive and organic conversation.
The alternative protein market is increasingly becoming the subject of conversation, with global meat sales set for rapid growth over the next 20 years and environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) now at the forefront of investment criteria. Growth in meat sales will be driven primarily by the alternative protein market and currently plant-based meat is the only commercially available alternative. Given this was the focus of Max’s sector report, he was able to add some valuable insight to a fascinating webinar.
