Executive interview – BluGlass

Published on 6 April 2020

BluGlass’s CEO, Giles Bourne, introduces the company’s proprietary remote plasma chemical vapour deposition (RPCVD) technology. He explains why RPCVD’s ability to produce material at a lower temperature can improve the performance and cost of compound semiconductors used in the production of light-emitting diodes (LEDs), micro-LED, power electronics and laser diodes. He discusses the rationale for the company’s move into a wafer supply model for laser diodes and the commercialisation path for this initiative. He gives an update on the company’s other commercialisation initiatives before highlighting the key milestones that investors should look for over the next 12 months.

BluGlass (ASX: BLG) is an ASX-listed technology company developing its innovative semiconductor manufacturing RPCVD technology for the production of high-efficiency devices such as LEDs, laser diodes and power electronics.
