This month, the Edison investment companies team initiated coverage on Rockwood Strategic (RKW), noted for its differentiated value and turnaround approach that has driven long-term outperformance versus the UK market. We also released podcast episodes on Polar Capital Global Financials Trust (PCFT) and abrdn UK Smaller Companies Growth Trust (AUSC). BlackRock Latin American Investment Trust’s (BRLA’s) co-manager is drawing on his extensive experience to seek out overlooked opportunities, while Canadian General Investments’ (CGI’s) manager continues his measured approach, supported by CGI’s long record of outperformance, amid volatile markets. Gresham House Energy Storage Fund (GRID) reported rising revenues and increasing capacity as it recovers from last year’s challenges and plans to resume dividend payments in H225. Deutsche Beteiligungs (DBAN) anticipates increased investments and three or four exits by Q126. Futura Resources, one of Baker Steel Resources Trust’s (BSRT’s) key assets, secured a loan to finance the further ramp-up of its Fairhill mine from International Resources Holdings, which also has an option to acquire a majority stake in Futura.
