This month, Edison’s investment companies team explored the current investment opportunities across emerging markets in a thematic research note. We also recorded a series of EdisonTV interviews with investment companies investing in emerging and frontier markets, including India Capital Growth Fund, abrdn Asian Income Fund, Vietnam Holding and Vietnam Enterprise Investments. Moreover, we released an episode of our ‘Uncovering Trusts’ podcast on abrdn Asian Income Fund to discuss the fund’s bottom-up selection process, dividend track record and recent measures to drive alignment with shareholders. Our emerging markets coverage also includes an update note on Invesco Asia Trust, whose portfolio is well positioned to benefit from a potential re-rating of equities in China and Hong Kong from depressed levels, as well as South Korea’s recent ‘Corporate Value-up Program’.
