In July, the Edison investment companies team highlighted how JPMorgan European Discovery Trust (JEDT) performance has improved over the past year due to portfolio changes that reduce market shock exposure. Baker Steel Resources Trust (BSRT) reported a 13.2% NAV uplift in June 2025, bringing its H125 NAV total return to 16.4%, due to multiple portfolio drivers across its top 10 holdings. Aberdeen Asian Income Fund (AAIF) has appointed Isaac Thong as its lead fund manager, while Henderson Far East Income (HFEL) is showing stronger outright performance by focusing on income, while also repositioning towards structural growth opportunities. Templeton Emerging Markets Investment Trust (TEMIT) continues to outperform its MSCI Emerging Markets Index benchmark over one, three, five and 10 years, underpinned by a consistent focus on undervalued businesses with sustainable earnings. We also released three new Vantage interviews exploring TEMIT, Aberdeen Asian Income Fund (AAIF) and VinaCapital Vietnam Opportunity Fund (VOF), as well as two Uncovering Trusts podcast episodes on The Biotech Growth Trust (BIOG) and Vietnam’s investment landscape.
