Umecrine Cognition receives grant from the MJFF

Umecrine Cognition has announced that it has received a US$420k research grant from the The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research (MJFF). The funding will be utilised to conduct preclinical research to assess the potential of  golexanolone in Parkinson’s disease. More specifically, it will look at the treatment effect of the candidate in models of Parkinson’s-related sleep dysfunction and cognitive impairments. The grant will be disbursed in three installments over the next two years.
