The latest West mineralisation drilling provides a positive read-across for Sotkamo’s longer-term growth potential, with mineralised intersections reported in all seven of the 15 holes analysed to date across the 150–350m target depth. While the company has not yet disclosed grades or widths and it remains too early to assess economic viability, the apparent continuity supports the potential for West to become an additional underground production area alongside the existing mine, with implications for both mining volumes and mine-life extension. The decision to develop exploration drifts near the mineralisation during the remainder of 2026 should enable more detailed follow-up work and could accelerate resource definition, with the full drilling results and next exploration steps expected in early 2027.
