Mendus (OMX: IMMU) enrols first patient in VITAL-CML trial
Published by Arron Aatkar, PhD

Mendus has announced that the first patient has been enrolled in the VITAL-CML trial, marking the first test of the company’s lead asset, vididencel, in chronic myeloid leukaemia (CML) patients. This is a Phase Ib study designed to assess safety and early molecular response in a total of 24 participants with suboptimal responses to current approved tyrosine kinase inmhibitors. Initial data, based on the first eight patients, are anticipated in H226. Should this readout be supportive, Mendus plans to launch a subsequent Phase IIa trial (called VITAL-TFR2) to assess the role of vididencel in improving treatment-free remission (TFR) rates in a larger CML population that has previously failed an earlier TFR attempt.
