Amplia Therapeutics (ASX: ATX) – Eli Lilly collaboration expands narmafotinib into lung cancer

Amplia Therapeutics has signed a clinical trial collaboration and supply agreement with Eli Lilly to evaluate narmafotinib alongside Eli Lilly’s KRAS G12C inhibitor, olomorasib, in second-line advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The Phase Ib/IIb study is expected to begin in late 2026 at sites in Australia and the US, with Amplia conducting the trial and Eli Lilly supplying olomorasib in-kind. The combination is supported by evidence that FAK activation contributes to resistance to KRAS G12C inhibitors, potentially allowing narmafotinib to deepen and prolong treatment responses. For Amplia, the agreement provides external validation of narmafotinib’s emerging clinical profile and extends its development beyond pancreatic and ovarian cancers into the sizable NSCLC market. Although Amplia will retain responsibility for trial execution and associated costs, the collaboration represents a capital-efficient expansion of its clinical pipeline and may strengthen narmafotinib’s positioning as a broadly applicable oncology combination agent.
