Following the initiation of coverage, Edison analyst Harry Kilby visited Vietnam to gain a first-hand view of VinFast Auto’s operations and the wider Vingroup ecosystem. The visit included time in Hanoi to better understand the strategic context in which VinFast operates as well as a tour of the company’s primary manufacturing facility in Hai Phong. Observing the end-to-end EV production process provided useful context to complement the investment case set out in our research. While in Hanoi, Harry also spoke with senior members of VinFast’s leadership team, including Deputy CEO of Investments Anne Pham and CFO Lan Anh Nguyen, discussing capital allocation, growth priorities and the company’s approach to scaling internationally.
