FACC – EKF interview

FACC – EKF interview

FACC is a major supplier of carbon composite structures to the commercial aircraft industry serving all the major manufacturers. Its products are an integral part of the relentless drive to reduce the weight of airframes and engines, as well as interiors, which helps improve fuel efficiency and reduces emissions. FACC is also applying its technical know-how to new growth applications in unmanned air mobility (drones) and space, which should add significant revenue streams later this decade.

In this interview, FACC’s CFO, Aleš Stárek, discusses the outlook for the continued recovery in commercial aircraft production as well as the prospect for increased demand in narrowbody aircraft. He talks about FACC’s strong positions on the Airbus A320 family and the newer A220 programme as rates increase to new highs. He outlines the production challenges and investment levels required to meet the production ramp up at customers, such as the new factory in Croatia. Finally, he provides an update about the exciting expansion into new, growing market segments of unmanned air vehicles (drones) and space projects.
