Aberdeen Asian Income Fund — 3 videos in collection
Edison’s investment companies team recently published a review on Aberdeen Asian Income Fund (ticker: AAIF). Having launched in 2005, the first 20 years saw a solid annualised NAV total return of 9.9%. The fund provides exposure to the current and future leading, attractively priced dividend payors across Asia, which is a region where, since the beginning of the century, more than half of the total returns have been from dividends. Aberdeen Asian Income Fund has a 17-year record of higher consecutive annual payments, just three years shy of reaching the AIC dividend hero status. Since early 2025, quarterly distributions are based on quarter-end NAV rather than income. The portfolio is diversified by geography, sector and market cap, and its below market beta means that the company’s share price is unlikely to keep up with strong growth markets but should perform relatively well during gradually rising markets with broad leadership.
