Hercules has acquired Advantage NRG, a specialist labour supply company, providing skilled linesmen for overhead electrical transmission lines across the UK, for up to £15.7m. The Lancashire-based company employs approximately 155 skilled operatives and generated £11.1m revenue, with £1.7m EBITDA in FY25. The acquisition marks Hercules’ strategic entry into the UK power and energy sector, positioning it to benefit from the government’s net-zero infrastructure transformation.

The deal comprises £10.2m initial cash consideration, £1.5m deferred payment, plus earn-out provisions. Financing comes from existing cash reserves and a £6m loan from Wasdell Holdings. The acquisition is expected to be margin and earnings enhancing, representing Hercules’ third acquisition following Future Build Recruitment and Quality Transport Training.
