MeaTech – executive interview

In this interview, we introduce Simon Fried, head of business at MeaTech 3D, which is an international food technology company that began activities in 2019. He starts by giving an overview of the company and its aim to provide an alternative to industrialised animal farming: MeaTech is developing a fully automated process for cultivated meat manufacturing and a 3D bioprinting technology that will allow the bioprinting of steak. He then highlights the company’s significant achievements in 2021 and its exciting plans for 2022, including establishing a pilot plant for producing chicken fat biomass, which will be used in hybrid products.
