Kooth – executive interview

Kooth is a leading digital mental healthcare platform. Headquartered in the UK, the company has built a strong presence within the NHS, as well as across the private sector, resulting in strong recurring revenue growth, robust EBITDA margins and high net revenue retention. The group entered the US market in 2022, announcing a pilot project with the state of Pennsylvania for $3m. In March 2023, management secured a contract with the California Department of Health Services to deliver its digital mental health services to c six million 13- to 25-year-olds as part of Governor Gavin Newsom’s $4.7bn investment in youth behavioural health. Financial details will be confirmed once the deal is finalised, but management expects the contract to be transformational for the group and for its year-end results to be ahead of market consensus. Following the announcement, the group’s share price increased by 68% and Kooth is now capitalised at £95.2m.

In this video, Kooth’s CEO Tim Barker and CFO Sanjay Jawa discuss the progress the company has made in the US, its UK performance, as well as its FY22 results and the outlook for the group, highlighting the importance of its platform for lowering the barriers to access mental health services across myriad demographics.
