STEMMER, a European independent provider of machine vision technology solutions to science and industry, acquired an 100% stake in Infaimon, a Spanish supplier of software and hardware for machine vision and robotics with subsidiaries in Portugal, Mexico and Brazil.
STEMMER expects Infaimon will contribute to its FY19/20 revenues and EBITDA with €18m and €3m, respectively, upon the company’s consolidation on 1 July 2019.
STEMMER highlights the acquisition stays in line with its international expansion strategy. The company is now present in all key European markets and can thus react quickly to a changing market environment, continue its growth in the bin-picking applications market and strengthen its product and services portfolio, according to STEMMER. In addition, the company states Infaimon’s international presence provides a foundation for STEMMER’s expansion to the US in the future.
Lars Böhrnsen, Stemmer’s CFO, explains that ’Over the past few weeks, we have been working with focus to ensure a smooth acquisition. We are therefore ideally prepared for a swift and successful integration.’
