Henderson Far East Income Limited (HFEL); half-year report: share price total return at -0.8%

Henderson Far East Income Limited declared its unaudited results for the half year ended 28 February 2019. Henderson’s NAV per share total return was -3.5% vs. a total return of the FTSE All-World Asia Pacific ex Japan of -3.7%. Shares were trading at a premium of 2.1% at the period end.

Revenue earnings per ordinary share was 6.59p for the period, while capital per share was negative (18.94p). During the period, the materials and mining sectors in Henderson’s portfolio performed well compared to other sectors.

Henderson’s share issuance in the financial year to date is 3,125,000 shares raising £10.6m. Cash and cash equivalents stood at 6,390 at the period end. The company paid two quarterly dividends during the period amounting to 11.00p, a 3.8% increase from the previous year.
