Meet the Analyst
Consumer
Sara Welford joined Edison’s consumer team in December 2014. She has over 10 years’ experience as an equity analyst, primarily covering the food manufacturing sector, but has also covered the other consumer staples subsectors. Sara started her career at Deutsche Bank, where she covered food manufacturing and tobacco. She moved to the highly ranked Merrill Lynch team where initially she covered the food manufacturing and household and personal care sectors, before expanding to cover beverages and tobacco. Most recently, she was lead analyst at Citi, where she covered the European food manufacturing sector.
Sara holds a Master’s in engineering from St John’s College, Oxford, passed all three levels of the CFA programme and held the CFA charter from 2005 to 2012.
